The Houston Polish Festival is a vibrant cultural celebration showcasing the food, music, language, traditions, and customs of the Polish people. Throughout the day, guests will enjoy live performances of traditional Polish music. One of the highlights of the festival is the dynamic Wawel Polish Folk Dance Group, which will present several musical and dance performances that embody the spirit and joy of Polish culture.
A major draw of the festival is its exceptional selection of authentic Polish cuisine, lovingly prepared by parishioners. Savor traditional dishes such as pierogi (stuffed dumplings), golabki (cabbage rolls), bigos (hunter’s stew), and kielbasa(Polish sausage), along with a tempting variety of homemade Polish cakes and desserts.
The Polish Festival is an unforgettable celebration, an event packed with color, music, flavors and excitement. Year after year, visitors from all over join us – and our community keeps growing. This section features many of our favorite moments and memories, from snapshots of our volunteers at work, to our own Dance Group Wawel engaging with the crowd. We hope we’ll have many more beautiful photos to add at the end of this May Festival! I went there three times. All photographs featured in this article were personally taken by me during the event.You can also tour the church and view the revered icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa, learning about her 600-year legacy as the protector and guardian of the Polish people.
The festival features a family-friendly children’s zone with engaging games, face painting, Polish culture and history activities, fun snacks, and more — ensuring kids have a memorable time while learning about Poland’s rich heritage.
