Houston, history is happening.
The 10th Anniversary Nigeria Cultural Parade & Festival arrives at Discovery Green for the very first time, marking a new chapter in one of the city’s most colorful cultural traditions.
Celebration starts at 12: 00 PM – 7:00 PM.
For ten years, this platform has celebrated the richness, beauty, and global influence of Nigerian culture. This year, we elevate the experience in our new home at Discovery Green right in the heart of Downtown Houston.
And we are bringing something special.
Introducing the Naija Culture Hub a cultural installation capturing the energy of Lagos, the spirit of the marketplace, youth creativity, and the evolving story of the Nigerian diaspora.
The parade showcases culture, tradition and heritage amongst various groups. Participating groups include: Rice University-African Student Association, ASA Festival, Greater Owerri Community, Oto-Umuokpu Anambra State Organization, Akwa Ibom Young Professionals, University of Houston-Nigerian Student Association, Zumunta Association (Hausa), Umu Igbo Unite, Osogbo Progressive Union and many more.
