Experience the wonders of America’s natural and cultural heritage with free access to national parks! In 2026, the National Park Service (NPS) offers several entrance fee-free days, giving everyone a chance to explore its breathtaking landscapes and historic sites without paying an entry fee.
What’s Included?
On these dates, all national parks that usually charge an entrance fee will waive that cost. Please note that other charges, such as reservation fees, camping, tours, or timed entries, may still apply.
1. Every Kid Outdoors: Free Pass for 4th Graders
All U.S. 4th graders and their families can enjoy free access to national parks year-round through the Every Kid Outdoors program. Simply visit the Every Kid Outdoors website, complete a short activity, and print your pass. Use it for free entry to hundreds of national parks, forests, and wildlife refuges!
2. Consider an Annual Pass
If you’re inspired by the fee-free days, you might consider purchasing an America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass. For $80, it provides unlimited access to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites year-round—a great value for avid explorers!
